Janet D. Griffin-Feinberg

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet D. Griffin-Feinberg, a beloved wife, aunt, and friend, who departed this world on July 14, 2026, at the age of 73. Janet passed away peacefully at the Tower Hill Healthcare Center in South Elgin, Illinois, after a courageous battle with a long illness with family by her side. Born on March 6, 1953, in Oak Park, Illinois, Janet was the cherished daughter of James and Margaret (Ligget) Griffin. She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, her dear brother, Alexander (Jim) Maxwell, her beloved nephew Kevin Maxwell, and great-nieces Shaina and Alexis. Janet's life was a testament to love, patience, and kindness. She was a beacon of warmth and hospitality, blessed with the remarkable gift of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to family and friends were the cornerstones of her life. In 1971, Janet graduated from Fenton High School in Bensenville, Illinois, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with dedication and achievement. Her professional journey led her to Rich Industries, where she dedicated 25 years of service, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Janet's heart was as expansive as her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family members: her husband, Philip (Brad); seven nieces and nephews, Sheila (Darvin) Rickling, Shelley (Eric) Bastian, James Maxwell, Shawna Kelley, Derek Maxwell, William Maxwell, Jennifer Maxwell; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Janet married Brad on November 14, 1998, and resided in Elgin, Illinois. Janet's life was a tapestry woven with threads of joy, laughter, and love. Her interests in traveling and spending time with her family reflected her adventurous spirit and deep familial devotion. Her ability to make time for everyone around her was a testament to her selflessness and love. As we remember Janet, we celebrate a life that was full of grace, warmth, and compassion. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Janet D. Griffin-Feinberg's legacy is one of love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear. She will be missed profoundly but remembered with great love and admiration. The family thanks those at Tower Hill Healthcare Center who cared for Janet. She was taken great care of by the doctors, nurses, CNAs, and anyone else who cared for her while she was a patient there.
