Born on December 27, 1974, in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado, Janel lived a life full of laughter, love, and resilience, battling cirrhosis with grace and courage in the comfort of her home. Janel was a woman of remarkable spirit, known for her infectious laughter and the way she could light up any room with her jokes and warm smile. She possessed a unique blend of kindness and intelligence, traits that endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Whether through her work or her personal interactions, Janel had a way of touching lives, leaving behind a legacy of joy and compassion. Her career was as diverse and dynamic as she was. Janel loved to work, never shying away from getting her hands dirty and always eager to take on new challenges. Her versatility and determination made her excel in anything she set her mind to, a true testament to her hard-working nature and indomitable spirit. Janel found immense joy in music, singing, and dancing. Janel is survived by her beloved mother, Alice Rael, and her sister, Natilee Thompson, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Her best friend and companion, Bruce Barnard, shared many of life's precious moments with Janel, alongside their cherished nine canine companions, who brought her as much joy and companionship as she gave to them. Janel was a devoted mother to her four daughters: Telaya, Audra, Kyla, and Sky-Lou. Her legacy of love continues through them and her eight grandchildren, each a testament to the nurturing and loving spirit she possessed. Janel is predeceased by her daughter Telaya Zuniga and her husband Arturo Zuniga, as well as her daughter Sky-Lou Thompson, her husband, and their two children. Their memories remain a beacon of love and continuity for the family. While words cannot fully express our sorrow, they can celebrate the remarkable life Janel lived.
