February 12, 1940 — August 1, 2026

Jane M. Allen, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 12, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, Jane was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jane was the cherished daughter of the late John and Marie Allen, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience that guided her throughout her life. Jane was predeceased by her dear parents, but she carried their memory forward in everything she did. For 50 years, Jane was the devoted wife and partner to her loving husband, Rome. Together, they built a family rooted in love, support, and laughter. She is survived by her husband Rome, who was her steadfast companion and greatest love. Jane's legacy continues through her children, Rome Jr., Pamela, Michael, and Trenton, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were constants in their lives, and she imparted to them her strength and gentle wisdom. Jane's family extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was a cherished sister to Robert, Elizabeth, and Lonzel. Her siblings remember her as a source of encouragement and joy, always ready with a kind word and a listening ear. A grandmother to ten and a great-grandmother to five, Jane's love knew no bounds. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she adored spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and her famous homemade cookies. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will be cherished forever. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jane's life at a service to be held on August 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The service will take place at St. Mary's Church, located at 1174 Washington Street. It will be a time to honor Jane's life, share stories, and say goodbye to a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jane's memory, as a way to continue her legacy of generosity and kindness. Jane M. Allen will be remembered for her boundless love, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
