It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane D. (Laughlin) Siever, cherished mother, devoted grandmother, and beloved friend, who departed this life on September 29, 2026. Jane was born on April 11, 1944, in Niagara Falls, NY, to her loving parents, William and Harriet Laughlin.
Jane's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her community. In 1973, she married Edward Siever. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home that was a beacon of love and laughter. Jane is now reunited with Edward, who preceded her in death, alongside her parents and her brother, William Laughlin.
She is survived by her children, Matthew (Susan) Cicco and Michelle (Mark) Dobbertean, who were the center of her universe. Jane's heart swelled with pride for her four grandchildren—Matthew Cicco, Lauren Cicco, Jessica Dobbertean, and Michael Dobbertean. Her brother, Russell (Veronica) Laughlin, also remains to cherish her memory.
Jane's career was as varied as it was fulfilling. Her professional journey saw her contributing to several organizations, including Jenss, Life Technologies, St. Mary's Church, and Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and compassionate presence, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
A woman of faith, Jane was an active member of Riverside Presbyterian Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and a deep sense of community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and nurturing her generous spirit.
Jane's leisure time was filled with simple joys that brought her immense happiness. She cherished moments spent "up at the cottage" in Long Beach, Ontario, where the serene beauty of nature provided a backdrop for cherished memories with family and friends. An avid reader, Jane found much enjoyment within the pages of her favorite books. She also had a passion for playing cards, sharing laughter and camaraderie with her dear friends around the card table.
A devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, Jane's enthusiasm for the team was infectious, and she shared many spirited game days with loved ones. Above all, Jane treasured her time with her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever be etched in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jane's memory to the Riverside Presbyterian Church, in appreciation of the community that brought her so much joy.
Jane D. (Laughlin) Siever leaves behind a legacy of compassion and warmth that will be felt by all who were privileged to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
