Born on March 17, 1995, in Fairmont, VA, Jana was a beacon of strength, resilience, and brilliance, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to cross her path. She was 30 years old. Jana was the cherished daughter of Ernie and Jania, who provided her with endless love and support throughout her life. From a young age, Jana exhibited an exceptional intellect and a compassionate heart, qualities that would become the hallmark of her career and personal endeavors. A trailblazer in every sense, Jana pursued a career in law, becoming the first black female lawyer in every firm she graced with her presence. Over the course of her five-year career, Jana distinguished herself not only through her keen legal mind but also through her dedication to justice and equality. Her ability to argue to a stalemate with the finest minds was legendary, and she brought her quick wit and warm smile into every courtroom and meeting, making her a respected and beloved figure among colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her professional achievements, Jana was a true gift to everyone she ever encountered. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and her laugh was infectious, lighting up even the darkest of days. She had an uncanny ability to make those around her feel seen and valued, and she was always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. Jana's legacy is one of courage, determination, and love. Her life was a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of kindness. As we mourn the passing of this remarkable woman, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived. A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends to honor Jana's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jana's name to a charity supporting cancer research, continuing her fight for hope and healing for others. Rest in peace, dear Jana.
