Jamya was the cherished daughter of Aralen and Jackson Carter, who raised her with the deepest love and care. Her family roots ran deep, and she carried with her the legacy of her predeceased grandmother, Luice Carter, whose spirit she now joins. Jamya is survived by her devoted siblings, Germany and Montrell Carter, who will continue to honor her memory in their own lives. A proud graduate of Gautier High School in 2019, Jamya embarked on her journey of higher education at Jones Community College, where she was known for her intellect, curiosity, and eagerness to embrace learning. Her academic pursuits were a testament to her dedication and passion for growth and discovery. Jamya was a soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for fishing was unmatched, and she found solace and happiness by the water, regardless of the weather. Rain, sleet, or snow, Jamya never missed an opportunity to cast her line and connect with nature, a pastime she cherished deeply. Those who had the honor of hearing Jamya speak will remember her sweet, tiny voice that earned her the endearing nickname "Tweety Bird."
