Jamitra Mitchell March 8, 2004 – August 17, 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Jamitra Mitchell, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who was taken from us far too soon on August 17, 2026. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 8, 2004, Jamitra was a beacon of light and hope to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jamitra graduated from Northwest High School, where she was known for her vibrant spirit and determination. Her journey led her to a fulfilling role at AT&T in customer service, where she was cherished for her dedication and the warmth she extended to her colleagues and customers alike. A devoted member of New Life Baptist Church, Jamitra's faith was an integral part of her life. Her inspiring aura brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her compassionate nature left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Jamitra's ability to uplift others with her kind words and infectious smile will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving parents, Lindsey and Maxwell Mitchell, and her siblings, Robert Mitchell, Maxwell L. Mitchell Jr., Lashawna Rene, and Brandyn Mitchell. Her Aunt, Katina Nettles, also mourns her passing, alongside a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. In these moments of profound grief, we find solace in the memories of Jamitra's life, filled with laughter, love, and boundless energy. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Jamitra's life and the unique spirit she brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any memorial contributions be made to organizations that support community and youth development, in remembrance of Jamitra's dedication to making the world a better place. Though she is no longer with us, Jamitra's spirit will forever illuminate our hearts, reminding us of the beauty and joy she brought into our lives.
