Jamie passed away in the comfort of his home, lovingly surrounded by his cherished family, after bravely enduring a long illness. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Born on August 8, 1963, Jamie was the beloved son of the late Leroy and Lilian Skinner. With a childhood rooted in love and nurturing, Jamie grew up alongside his sister, Jennie, who predeceased him, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and familial bonds that stood the test of time. Jamie was a beacon of warmth and kindness, embodying the virtues of compassion and generosity. He lived his life with a steadfast dedication to his family, treasuring the moments spent with them above all else. His legacy is carried on by his devoted family members, including his sisters, Rhonda Heiz (George) of Wilmington Christina Skinner of Clearwater, FL and Tracie Lockwood (Richard) of Dover. DE Jamie was a proud and loving uncle, and his legacy continues through his six beloved grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory dear. Family and friends are invited to honor Jamie's life and legacy at a memorial service to be held on April 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. George's Methodist Church, located in Wilmington, DE. The service will be an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable life of a man who touched so many lives with his kindness and love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jamie's memory. This gesture will continue his legacy of compassion and generosity, extending his spirit of giving far beyond his earthly presence. As we bid farewell to Jamie L.
