With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jamie Jo Treadwell, affectionately known as "Smiley," who left us far too soon on July 19, 2026. Born on August 12, 1998, in Fayetteville, Jamie brought joy, laughter, and love to everyone she encountered. Jamie was a cherished daughter to Brenda and James Treadwell and a devoted mother to her beautiful daughters, Ava Vasquez, Kayla Vasquez, and Nyla Quick. Her spirit was as radiant and free as her smile, which was a constant source of warmth and comfort for her family and friends. Jamie was a sister to Laura Carter and Lawrence Skipper, and her bond with them was filled with love and cherished memories. She was also the adoring granddaughter of Sue Ellen Treadwell and the beloved niece and cousin to many. Predeceased by her cherished Ma Jo and grandfathers Dick and Henry Treadwell, Jamie held their memories close to her heart, embodying the love and wisdom they imparted in her life. Surviving relatives uncle Henry Treadwell Sr. (Tera, Henry,Natalie, Sophie, and Haywood); her aunts, Marie Treadwell (Ariana and Khaliyah), Leanna Treadwell (Crissy), Billie Karen Stephenson (Brentwood), and Bobbie Stephenson (Amber); her uncles, Wendall Stirckland (Teresa), Jimmy Dale Tew (Sandy), and Kenneth Strickland; along with many cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends who loved her deeply. Jamie was a beacon of light, known for her humor, courage, and loyalty. She was fiercely protective of those she loved and approached life fearlessly, with a wild heart that embraced every moment. Her ability to make people laugh until they cried, her unwavering support, and her unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished. A service to honor Jamie's life will be held on July 26, 2026, at 2:45 PM at Peters Creek. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate her life, share stories, and remember the joy she brought into our lives. As we say goodbye to Jamie, we hold onto the love, laughter, and memories she gifted us. She will remain forever in our hearts, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire us each day.
