James Williams, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and mentor, peacefully passed away at his home on May 5, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on September 15, 1932, in Stockbridge, Georgia, James was the cherished son of John and Dorothy Williams. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. In the heart of Stockbridge, James met and fell in love with Mary-Ann, whom he married on June 19, 1964. Together, they spent 58 wonderful years building a life rich in love and laughter. Their home was always filled with the joyful noise of their six children, and later, the delighted giggles of their six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Although Mary-Ann passed away a few years ago, the love they shared continues to inspire those who knew them. James dedicated over 35 years of his life to the field of mechanical engineering, a career he pursued with passion and commitment. He was not only known for his technical expertise but also for his generosity of spirit. James had a unique talent for mentoring young engineers, offering guidance that went beyond the professional realm, impacting their personal lives as well. His dedication to nurturing future generations in his community is a testament to his character and the values he held dear. Outside of his professional life, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for fishing, spending countless serene mornings at the water’s edge, often accompanied by family or friends. James also had a knack for working on cars, a hobby that allowed him to blend his engineering skills with hands-on creativity. However, his greatest joy was always the time spent surrounded by family, creating memories that would be cherished for generations. James was predeceased by his children, a profound loss that he bore with strength and grace. He is survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who continue to carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. As we remember James, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by service, love, and an enduring commitment to family and community.
