Born on June 7, 1934, in Choudrant, Louisiana, James lived a full and remarkable life, touching the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. James was the cherished son of the late James and Debra Sanders, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness. These values guided him throughout his 92 years, shaping a life defined by love and dedication to his family and community. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his loving wife of 45 years, who stood by his side through life's many seasons. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with five wonderful children: sons Michael and Kenneth Sanders, and daughters Kim Jones, Betty Thomas, and Carla Sanders. His family was the pride and joy of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. James was also a beloved brother to his siblings, John and Jimmy Sanders, and his sister, Betty Sanders. He had a special bond with each of them, filled with shared memories and laughter. As a grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren, James's heart was always full. He was their greatest supporter, offering wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love. His laughter and stories will forever echo in the hearts of those he leaves behind. James's life will be celebrated on July 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Progressive Church of God and Christ, located at 1717 Hwy 80, Choudrant, Louisiana, 71227. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by James are warmly invited to join in remembering and honoring this extraordinary man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that memorial contributions be made in James's name to a charity of your choice, honoring his generous spirit and his commitment to helping others. James Sanders's legacy will live on through the love he gave and the lives he touched. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered, as his memory continues to inspire all who knew him.
