A proud graduate of Iroquois High School, James went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. This experience instilled in him a deep sense of duty and camaraderie, values he carried with him throughout his life. After his service, James found his way to the serene landscapes of Washington State, where he settled and built a life surrounded by nature's beauty. Though he had no grandchildren, James's heart was expansive, and he touched the lives of many who considered him family. James was a dedicated fan of the University of Louisville, always cheering for his team with unwavering enthusiasm. His passion for woodworking was more than just a hobby; it was a testament to his patience, creativity, and attention to detail. He found joy in crafting pieces that were as beautiful as they were functional, leaving behind creations that will be treasured for generations. He will be remembered for his gentle humor, his love for the simple joys of life, and the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in James's memory to a charity of choice, continuing his legacy of generosity and compassion. As we say goodbye to James, we hold dear the memories of a life well-lived and a heart that knew no bounds. May he rest in peace, forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
