James Michael Griffin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026. Born on August 13, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, Mike, brought warmth, kindness, and generosity to all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of love, service, and unwavering faith. Mike was the cherished son of James and Renie Griffin, who predeceased him. He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1966 and furthered his education at El Centro Community College. A man of many talents, Mike dedicated his professional life to serving others. He was the Director of Fishers of Street Ministry, where he spent 12 years feeding and clothing the homeless and needy in Hunt County after his retirement. A passionate fisherman and golfer, Mike loved all sports and shared these interests with his family. His generosity and love for his family were evident in the countless hours he spent with his wife of 36 years, Ann Griffin, and their children, Greg Griffin and his wife Angie, and Kirk Griffin. Mike treasured his grandchildren—Kaylee and Cody Manson, Mattie Griffin, and Hayden Griffin—as well as his great-grandchildren, Blake Renie and Kayce Todd Manson. They were the light of his life, and he found immense joy in every moment spent with them. Mike had a profound love for animals, often opening his home and heart to countless furry friends, giving them the best life possible. His compassion knew no bounds, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Mike's deep faith and love for Jesus guided his actions and inspired those around him. As we celebrate the remarkable life of James Michael Griffin, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Fishers of Men Street Ministry, Safe Haven Community Foundation, in Greenville, TX.
