It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of James Lloyd, who departed this life peacefully at home on July 18, 2026. Born on February 16, 1964, in Converse, Louisiana, James lived a life marked by love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. The son of Rosie and Epps Lloyd, James was raised in a household where compassion and community were paramount. Though his father, Epps, and his brother, Jerry, predeceased him, James carried forward their legacy of integrity and generosity. James shared over 30 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Hazel (Greene) Lloyd, whom he married on July 2, 1992, in Louisiana. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support for one another. Though they did not have children, their home was always open to family and friends, a testament to their nurturing spirits and warm hearts. Hazel, too, has passed on, leaving behind a legacy of love and companionship that will forever be remembered. James is survived by his devoted mother, Rosie King, and his loving siblings, Mary Lloyd and Dincel Lloyd. His life was further enriched by the presence of many nieces and nephews, who recall fondly his wisdom, humor, and the joy he brought to every gathering. Though James had no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his influence and love extended far beyond familial lines, touching the lives of all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to honor James's life at a service to be held on July 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The service will take place at Kings Chapel, located at 343 Natchitoches Hwy. It will be a time to celebrate the life of a remarkable man whose kindness and love left an indelible mark on this world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of James Lloyd, as a way to continue his legacy of generosity and care for others. James's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support during this difficult time. Your love and kindness have provided comfort and strength, reminding us all of the profound impact James had on so many lives. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
