Born on November 17, 1962, in the close-knit community of Eastover, South Carolina, Jimmy departed this world on June 17, 2026, at the age of 63. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the warmth and love of his cherished family. Jimmy was the beloved son of Annie Bell Brown and the late James Carter Brown. From an early age, he was nurtured by the strong values and deep-rooted love of his family, shaping him into the kind and generous man he became. He was a devoted brother to his surviving siblings: Sharon Mae Brown, Barry Brown, Dexter Brown and his wife Charlene, Carolyn Brown and her partner Deborah, and his bonus sister, Vanessa Brown. Although predeceased by his father, his sister Loretta Brown Scott, and his brother Anthony Brown, Jimmy's spirit and warmth continue to live on through the bonds he formed with his family. Jimmy's early years were spent in Eastover, where he attended the public schools of Richland County. It was there that he cultivated a deep appreciation for community and camaraderie. His career path led him to Life Care, where he worked diligently for many years. In his role, Jimmy was not just an employee but a beacon of kindness and support, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to colleagues and residents alike. Outside of his professional life, Jimmy's heart belonged to his family. He was the cornerstone of his family's gatherings, often going above and beyond to offer assistance and support whenever needed. His love knew no bounds, and his generosity of spirit was a testament to the profound connections he cherished with his loved ones. Jimmy's legacy is carried forward by his devoted mother, Annie Bell Brown, and a multitude of family members, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom were touched by his warmth and kindness. The void left by his passing is vast, but the memories of his gentle nature and unwavering love will forever light the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held to honor his memory, where family and friends can gather to share stories, laughter, and tears in remembrance of a man who lived a life full of love and compassion.
