James was the beloved son of James and Lisa Craig. His father, James Craig, predeceased him and has undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the hereafter. James attended Morton Ranch High School in Katy, where he formed lasting friendships and developed a deep appreciation for the diversity of life. He was employed as a dishwasher at Whole Foods, where his colleagues fondly recall his dedication and warm presence. James was known not only for his work ethic but also for his unique sense of humor and a heart that was as big as the Texas skies. Outside of work, James was a member of the Hoover Crip, a community that provided him with a sense of belonging and camaraderie. He had an enduring love for trans culture, a passion that enriched his life and the lives of those around him, offering a perspective that was both inclusive and compassionate. Those who knew James well would describe him as "greasy"—a term lovingly used to capture his unique charm and individuality. His quirky personality and distinctive approach to life made him unforgettable to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to honor and celebrate James's life will be held on October 12, 2026, at 11:14 a.m. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by James are welcome to gather in remembrance of a truly special soul. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to James's generous spirit and the joy he brought into the world.
