In Loving Memory

James Holmes
October 16, 1993 — August 26, 2026
James Holmes, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Milwaukee. Born on October 16, 1993, James graced the world with his infectious laughter and kind heart for 32 years. He was the cherished son of the late Pam Jackson and Lawrence Holmes and is survived by his devoted siblings, brother Timothy Holmes and sister Olivia Jackson.
James spent his early years in Milwaukee, where he attended Vincent High School, graduating with honors. His passion for working with his hands led him to complete a two-year trade program in welding—a skill he excelled at and cherished. Known for his unwavering dedication to nurturing young minds, James worked as a coach assistant, inspiring many boys through sports and mentorship. He was a beacon of positivity and a mentor to many, always ready with a joke or a helping hand.
Sports held a special place in James's heart. Whether it was playing, coaching, or simply enjoying the game, he embraced every moment of it. Fishing was another pastime he loved, offering him the serenity and patience he often imparted to others. His mother fondly remembered him as someone who could have taken to the stage as a comedian, given his natural ability to make others laugh and feel at ease. His warm spirit and humor brought people together, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
James's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the GREATER MT SINAI CHURCH for their support during this difficult time. A service to celebrate James's life will be held at the church located at 5384 Nth 60th Street on September 4, 2026. While the service time remains unconfirmed, it promises to be a gathering filled with love and remembrance.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of one's choice in honor of James's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. James Holmes will be deeply missed, but his legacy of laughter, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
