James Harold
November 2, 1945 — July 12, 2026
James Harold, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 2, 1945, in Marietta, PA, James was the beloved son of Susan and James Harold. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Maryanne Habbit, and his brother John Harold. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife of 37 years, Karen Harold, his children Michael and Colleen, and step-children Sarah, Louise, and Benjamin.
James was a man of great integrity and dedication, qualities that were evident throughout his career. After graduating high school at the age of 18, he embarked on his professional journey with a construction company, where his hard work and determination saw him rise to the position of plant manager. He held this role with pride and respect until his retirement at 68.
His commitment to his community was equally inspiring. As an active member of the First Methodist Church of God, James was a familiar, welcoming face every Sunday morning, greeting both new and returning congregants with warmth. His involvement with the church extended beyond the doors, as he spent countless hours mentoring youth and chaperoning missionary trips, leaving a lasting impact on those he guided.
Outside of his professional and community endeavors, James found solace and joy in gardening. He took immense pride in cultivating fruits and vegetables, which he generously shared with family, friends, and the church’s food bank. He also found pleasure in birdwatching and was a dedicated NASCAR fan, rarely missing a race on television.
James was a man of humor and light, known for his endless supply of jokes that could brighten any room. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit was uplifting. At the time of his passing, he wished to share that he had maintained 34 years of sobriety, a testament to his belief that all things are possible when one gives their life to Jesus.
