It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James H. Waynick, who departed this life peacefully on March 23, 2026, at his home, surrounded by love and cherished memories. Born on January 4, 1972, in Frankfurt, Germany, James's life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
James was the beloved son of the late Jimmy Ray Waynick and Judith Wooten Waynick. From his earliest days, he was nurtured by a family who cherished him deeply, and he carried that love forward throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents Henry F. "Red" Wooten and Sara Spurlin Wooten, grandparents Arthur and Clemmie Waynick, and his uncle Henry H. Wooten. In their memory, James lived a life filled with compassion and strength.
James's early years were spent in Georgia, where he graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1990. He embarked on a career dedicated to service, working for several years with the Department of Corrections for the State of Georgia. More recently, he found fulfillment as an Inventory Control Distributor for Southern Crown Partners. In every role, James was known for his integrity, work ethic, and the respect he showed to colleagues and friends alike.
An avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves fan, James found great joy in cheering for his teams. His passion for sports extended beyond mere fandom; he was a mentor to a young aspiring football player, imparting wisdom, encouragement, and a love for the game that will surely inspire future generations.
James's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who survive him: his devoted sister Janet Guzman and her husband Efrain, and his cherished nieces Rebekka Jacobs (Aaron), Melissa Hawkins (Emil Holland), and Sarah Stoever (Jesse). He was a proud great-uncle to Colton and Parker Jacobs, whose laughter and joy brought him immense happiness. James is also survived by his uncles Ronnie Waynick (Paige), Donnie Waynick (Mary), and Ricky Waynick (Yelina), his Aunt Judy Smith, and a host of cousins and friends who will forever remember his warmth and generosity.
The family will honor James's life at a memorial service on April 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM, to be held at 3010 John Wells Road, Hinesville, Georgia 31313. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived and a man deeply loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in James's name to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to kindness and community.
James H. Waynick's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unyielding spirit. Though he has left this earthly realm, his legacy of compassion and loyalty will continue to inspire all who knew him.
