It is with deep sorrow yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of James H. Waynick. Born on January 4, 1972, in Frankfurt, Germany, James departed this world on March 23, 2026, at his home, after courageously battling longstanding medical issues. He was 54 years old. James was born to the late Jimmy Ray Waynick and Judith Wooten Waynick and spent his early years as an Army 'Brat', moving frequently until the family settled in Hinesville, Georgia after his father's retirement from Fort Stewart. Here, he graduated from Bradwell Institute in the Class of 1990, marking the beginning of his journey into adulthood. James held a career with the Department of Corrections for the State of Georgia, where he made a lasting impact with his dedication and integrity. More recently, he contributed his skills and expertise as an Inventory Control Distributor for Southern Crown Partners. Through his work, James exemplified unparalleled commitment and reliability, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional life, James was a passionate sports enthusiast. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, a testament to his loyalty and enthusiasm for the teams he cherished. His love for sports extended beyond mere fandom; he took great joy in mentoring a young man with aspirations for a bright football future, passing down his love for the game and the values it instills. James was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jimmy and Judy Waynick; his grandparents, Henry F. "Red" Wooten and Sara Spurlin Wooten, Arthur and Clemmie Waynick; his uncle Harlan Wooten; and his special Great Aunt Jimmie Cothran Elder. Their love and guidance shaped the man he became, and he carried their memories with him throughout his life. James leaves behind his cherished sister, Janet Guzman, and her husband, Efrain. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces Rebekka Jacobs and her husband Aaron, Melissa Hawkins and her husband Emil, and Sarah Stoever and her husband Jesse. His legacy extends to his great-nephews Colton and Parker Jacobs, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his uncles Ronnie Waynick and his wife Paige, Donnie Waynick and his wife Mary, and Ricky Waynick and his wife Yelina, as well as his Aunt Judy Smith. His former brother-in-law Wayne "Buddy" Speicher, Jr., along with a host of cousins and friends, will miss his presence and the warmth he brought to their lives. To honor and celebrate James’s life, a service will be held on April 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM at 3010 John Wells Road, Hinesville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Liberty County Humane Society, reflecting James's love and compassion for animals. James H.
