James Edward Lashley Jr., a beloved, father, brother, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 17, 1963, in Kokomo, Indiana, to James Edward Lashley Sr. and Susan Carroll Lashley (Monroe). Jimmy was the youngest of three children and growing up in a close-knit family, Jimmy was known for his warmth and generosity. He shared an unbreakable bond with his sister, Kathy Cannon, and brothers, Jeffrey Earl Lashley and Randall Louis Lashley. His partner of twenty years, Tammy Hamilton, was his unwavering support and confidante. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, love, and laughter. Jimmy's life was enriched by his daughters, Kodie and Katie Lashley, who brought him immense pride and joy. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Community Hospice and the compassionate nurses and technicians who cared for Jimmy with dignity and grace during his final days. As we celebrate Jimmy's life, we remember him not only for his love of fishing and the great outdoors but for the way he touched our hearts. His spirit will continue to live on in the waves that crash upon the shores and in the love that binds his family and friends together. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James and Susan Lashley. Jimmy is survived by his sister Kathy Cannon, brother Randall Lashley, brother Jeffrey Lashley, his children Kodie Davis and Katie Lashley, his four grandchildren, and his partner of twenty years, Tammy Hamilton.
