In Loving Memory
James Edward Blincoe III
July 19, 1957 — March 6, 2026
James Edward Blincoe III, affectionately known to those who loved him as “Little Jimmy,” was called home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 6, 2026.
A Foundation of Faith
Born on July 19, 1957, in Bryan Station, Texas, James was the beloved son of the late James E. Blincoe Jr. and Betty Nell (Thompson) Blincoe. From a young age, James walked in faith; he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Burnett Ave Baptist Church under the spiritual guidance of the late Rev. J.O. Crittenden.
A Legacy of Love
Jimmy was a man who defined what it meant to be a devoted brother, a doting uncle, and a loyal friend. His warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
He is reunited in eternity with his parents; his elder sister, Betty (Johnnie) Mahomes; his sister, Cherre Rucker-Dodd; and his brother, Jeffery Ricketts.
Those Who Cherish His Memory
Jimmy’s memory will be forever honored and kept alive by his large and loving family. He leaves to cherish his legacy:
His Step-Mother: Essie Ricketts.
His Sisters in Texas: LaQuita Jackson, Christy Owens, Cecelia, LaNelda, Adrienne Steen, and Sabrina Mosbley.
His Sisters in Kentucky: Cheryl Reed (Robert), Deloris Fenwick (Arric), Carla Ricketts, Fabre Johnson (Darryl), and Quatasha Blincoe.
His Brother: Joseph Ricketts
He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will deeply miss his presence and his spirit.

Closing
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
