He was the beloved son of Michelle Grosche, who survives him, as well as a cherished nephew to his aunts, Sandra Hainz and Cynthia Simonson. James also leaves behind his cousins Rhiannon Schubert, Steven Stewart, and Rob Simonson, who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. A proud alumnus of St. Edwards University, James carried his love for learning and exploration throughout his life. His inquisitive spirit led him to travel extensively, creating a treasure trove of experiences and friendships around the globe. Yet, no matter where his adventures took him, Dallas was always his home. James had an innate affinity for music, which was a constant companion throughout his life. Whether strumming his ukulele or rocking out on his electric guitar, his passion for melodies was palpable. He was also an avid music collector, curating a vast and eclectic library that mirrored his diverse tastes and boundless enthusiasm. His love for animals was equally profound, and he dedicated much of his time to the noble cause of rescuing and placing dogs in loving homes. James's compassion for our four-legged friends was a testament to his gentle soul and unwavering kindness. James's culinary adventures were as vibrant as his personality. As an amateur cook, he delighted in experimenting with flavors, often sharing his creations with the many friends who filled his life with joy and companionship. His gatherings were legendary, filled with laughter, music, and shared stories that will be cherished forever. To his circle of friends, James was not just a companion but a confidant, a source of endless laughter and joy. His love for parties and dancing was infectious, lighting up every room he entered. He was a friend like no other, and his absence leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In the words of his mother, Michelle, "We all loved him, and it's hard to describe this loss. James was a special man, and there was no other like him." She extends her deepest gratitude to James's close friends for their unwavering support and love during this challenging time.
