July 6, 1956 — June 12, 2026

It is with profound sadness and deep reverence that we announce the passing of our beloved James E Conklin, who left this world on June 12, 2026, at the age of 69. James passed away peacefully at the Yorktown Rehabilitation & Nursing Center after courageously battling various illnesses for several months. He was surrounded by love and the comforting presence of his family during his final days. James was born on July 6, 1956, in Peekskill, New York, to George and Rose Conklin. Growing up in a bustling household filled with love and laughter, James developed a deep appreciation for family and the simple joys of life. His parents and siblings—David, George, and Carol—preceded him in death, and we take solace in knowing they are now reunited in peace. James is survived by his devoted long-time partner, Dorene, who was his steadfast companion and source of joy for many years. Together, they created a loving home and cherished many beautiful memories. James was the proud father of three daughters: Selina Johnson (Lael), Christina Sank, and Patricia Sank. His legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren—Shannon, Nestor, Austin, Tamara, Kearia, Lael Jr., Kristian, Jacob, and Karlina—and his twelve great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and happiness in his life. His love and wisdom will continue to guide them through their journeys. He is also survived by his siblings Ralph, Christine, Sarah, Loretta, Michael, Rosemarie, Anthony, Jenemarie, and Debra, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish his memory. James dedicated many years of his life working for a professional movie company, where his passion for storytelling and creativity shone brightly. His colleagues remember him as a diligent worker with a kind heart and an infectious sense of humor. James touched the lives of many through his work, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private funeral service will be held on June 14, 2026, allowing family and close friends to honor James’s life and bid farewell in an intimate setting. As we gather to celebrate his journey, we reflect on the love and warmth he brought into our lives. The family of James E Conklin extends heartfelt gratitude for your prayers, support, and kindness during this time. Your presence and love have been a source of comfort to us as we remember and honor his life.
