In Loving Memory of James David Morris Jr.
February 14, 1979 - June 18, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of James David Morris Jr., affectionately known to many as "Psycho," on June 18, 2026. Born on Valentine's Day in 1979, James graced Beckley, West Virginia with his presence, bringing a unique blend of chaos, love, and laughter to everyone he encountered. His life, though tragically cut short, was filled with vibrant colors, just like the tattoos he so masterfully created.
James was the beloved son of the late James D. Morris Sr. and Linda Louise Morris. He was predeceased by his cherished grandmother, Jenny Blankenship, and his beautiful niece, Jenny Lee Tilley. Though he has left us, his spirit lives on in his surviving family: his handsome son, James David Morris III, his beautiful sister Regina Gibson and her fiancé Ray McKinney, and his adored nephew, AJ Tilley. James also leaves behind his adopted spawn of satan child, Bobbi Jo Dutton, and her fiancé Nicholas Rediker, his patch brother Delmer Lee Cozart, Thresa D. Dunfee, and his favorite cousin, Teddy Hornsby, along with Tonya Richardson. He loved his tattoo shop family, who were once part of Agony, and so many other friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
James found his calling as a tattoo artist, a career that allowed him to express his creativity and passion for art. His talent with color tattoos was unparalleled, and he was admired not only for his skill but also for his larger-than-life charisma. James was often the first call whenever someone needed a hero or simply a sense of safety; he was better than security, and his presence was a comforting shield to those who knew him.
A man of many interests, James reveled in the thrill of causing chaos, living up to his nickname. He loved drawing and tattooing at all times and had a deep appreciation for death metal and Alistair Crowley. His intelligence was matched by his generosity in sharing knowledge with those eager to learn. James was fiercely protective of his loved ones, and his sense of humor was infectious. Whether he was riding his Harley with his long, beautiful hair flowing in the wind or playfully teasing his sister Regina, James's laughter was unforgettable and contagious.
James's distinct style was as memorable as his personality. He was known for his long hair, leather attire, piercings, and combat boots, no matter the occasion. His striking tattoos and beautiful eyes left a lasting impression on all who met him.
Though James's life ended tragically, his family finds solace in the thought that he is now with those who loved him best. A private ceremony will be held to honor James's life at 17:01, in accordance with his family's wishes.
In this time of mourning, the family asks that you keep James's spirit alive by holding your loved ones close. As the great once said, "Hail Satan 666, we love y’all. Don’t cry for he is with the ones who loved him best. You dig it!"
James David Morris Jr. will forever be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his protective nature, and the joy he brought into the lives of those who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by love and laughter, just as he lived.
