James Bennett III

James Bennett III, born on November 21, 1964, in New York, passed away on September 5, 2026, after valiantly fighting a long hard health battle. He was predeceased by parents, James and Eloise Bennett Jr. and son Allen Barron.
James is survived by his wife, Becky J. Bennett, daughter, Natasha Bennett and son Aaron Barron. He was the proud grandfather to two precious grandchildren, Daveon Smith and Onye Florival, who brought endless joy to his life. James also leaves behind a brother, Leone Sloane and his wife Twyla, as well as extended family and many friends who were touched by his generous spirit and warm heart.
A dedicated member of the Central Hartford congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and strived everyday to be a better servant of Jehovah. His life was enriched by his love of music, a passion that he shared with everyone around him. Those who knew James remember him as a sweet and kind person, who, despite having a hard exterior, possessed a heart of gold. Conversations with him were always enlightening, filled with insight, entertaining, and thoughtful.
James's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who showed their unwavering support, concern, and love throughout his life and during his illness.
A memorial service to celebrate James's life will be held on September 19, 2026, at 12:30 PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 580 Tower Avenue, Bloomfield, CT 06002. James will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to get to know him . His legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
