James Arnold (Meatloaf) Parker

James Arnold "Meatloaf" Parker, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, at Duke University Hospital in Durham NC at the age of 59. Born on April 26, 1967, in Clinton, North Carolina, James was a man who touched the lives of those around him with his warmth, generosity, and his amusing sense of humor. James was the cherished son of Linda and Willie James Parker, who proceeds him in death. He is also proceeded in death by a brother, Willie James Parker, Jr. He attended Lakewood High School in Salemburg, NC. James found his calling on the open road as a truck driver, a career that allowed him to explore the country and meet countless people along the way. His love for adventure didn’t stop there; he had a passion for riding motorcycles, feeling the wind in his hair as he traversed the scenic routes of North Carolina. A skilled craftsman, James also enjoyed working with his hands, creating beautiful pieces that now serve as lasting memories for his loved ones. Family was the cornerstone of James's life. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Jameika Parker of Autryville, NC, who was the light of his life. His legacy continues through his daughter Wuanessa Woodard and her husband Darrius of Clinton, NC, and his cherished grandchildren Amoni, Lanessa, Kyle, and Kyrie. James is also survived by his sisters, Ashley Parker of Salemburg, NC, Bishane Harris of Bronx, NY and Latasha Oneal of Bronx, NY and his three brothers, Kenneth Parker, Raleigh,NC, Donald Ray Williams, Salemburg,NC and Broderick Flowers of Bronx, NY and a host of aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. James's life will be celebrated on September 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Worley Funeral Home in Clinton, NC. Family, friends, and all those whose lives James touched are invited to gather to honor his memory and share in the joy he brought into the world.
