James Allen Summers, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, on July 4, 2026. Born on February 26, 1973, in Chico, California, James lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work. His gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to his family left an indelible mark on all who knew him. James was the cherished son of Charles and Betty Summers, who survive him. As a young boy growing up in Chico, James developed a love for the outdoors, a passion that he carried with him throughout his life. He spent countless hours fishing, a favorite pastime that allowed him to find peace and joy in the simple wonders of nature. James also enjoyed bicycling and was often seen riding through the neighborhoods, greeting friends and neighbors with a warm smile. A skilled handyman by trade, James was known for his ability to fix just about anything. Whether it was working on cars or helping a friend with a home project, he approached each task with patience and an eagerness to help. His work ethic was admirable, and he took great pride in a job well done. James had a heart as big as his love for grilling and spending time with friends. Many weekends were spent in the company of loved ones, sharing stories and laughter over a perfectly cooked meal. His easygoing nature and genuine kindness made him a treasured friend to many. James is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Carter Summers, who was his rock and partner in life. Together, they shared a love that was deep and enduring, providing a source of strength and comfort to one another. He is also survived by his parents, Charles and Betty; his sisters, Charlene of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Brenda of Chico, California; his brother, Rolland, also in Chico; and his stepbrother, Robbie Parks of Averal, California. He was a beloved brother-in-law to Tim in Idaho. James was a proud uncle to six nieces and five nephews, as well as eight great-nieces and nephews. He also shared a special bond with his two stepsons, Isaiah and Dillion, who enriched his life with joy and pride. Though James did not have grandchildren, his love and influence extended deeply into his family. James was predeceased by his son, Ernest James Carter Summers, whom he held close in his heart. A celebration of James's life will be held at Sapulpa Park on September 19, 2026, at 11:00. Following the service, the family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a fellowship lunch, a time to share memories and support one another in the spirit of togetherness that James cherished. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of their choice, honoring James's generous spirit and his commitment to helping others. James Allen Summers will be remembered as a man who exemplified love and dedication in every aspect of his life. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and family devotion will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
