In 1967, with a heart full of courage and a steadfast sense of duty, James enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Serving in Company 77, 13th Battalion, during the Vietnam War, he displayed unwavering bravery and dedication to his country. His service is remembered with deep gratitude and respect. Upon returning home, James embarked on a career as a self-employed plumber. Known as a "jack of all trades," his skills extended beyond plumbing; he was a true handyman, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His work was not just a means of livelihood but a reflection of his commitment to helping others. Beyond his professional life, James was a man of profound faith. For ten years, he served as a pastor, guiding his congregation with wisdom and compassion. His sermons, filled with humor and insight, resonated with many and left an indelible mark on his community. James was also a talented artist, finding solace and expression through sketching and drawing. His creations were a window into his soul, capturing the beauty he saw in the world around him.
