It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Albert Holman, who departed this life on February 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 3, 1963, in Altus, Oklahoma, James was a beacon of light and laughter, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. James was the beloved son of Wilma Wingfield and the late Eli Holman. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Troylene Holman, whose memory he held close to his heart. James is survived by his devoted mother, Wilma, and his loving children, Jamarla Moore of Lawton, OK; Kami Robinson of Oklahoma City, OK; Genesis Holman of Altus, OK; and Caleb Holman of Euclid, OH. His legacy is further carried on by his three adored grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. James was a man of many talents and pursuits. He served his country with honor in the United States Army before dedicating over 35 years to a career as an over-the-road truck driver, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. James also found joy in the pawn business, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a story to brighten someone's day. To know James was to experience his quick wit and boundless generosity. He possessed a remarkable ability to make anyone feel at ease, his large personality filling any room with warmth and laughter. Never meeting a stranger, James made friends wherever he went, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. James's memory is cherished by his surviving family, including his oldest brother, Donnie Holman, and his wife, Amanda, as well as his sister, Norma Wingfield Glass of Atlanta, GA. Each of them carries forward his spirit of kindness and love, a testament to the family bond he so deeply valued. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor James’s life and legacy, allowing his family to grieve and celebrate his life in a close, intimate setting. Though he is no longer with us, James remains "forever in our hearts," a sentiment his family wishes to share with all who knew him. As we remember James Albert Holman, let us celebrate a life full of adventure, laughter, and love. May his memory be a blessing, inspiring us to live with the same generosity and joy that he so effortlessly shared with the world.
