In Loving Memory

J'amaurie Anderson Young
July 17, 2008 — February 20, 2026
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved J'amaurie Anderson Young, who left this world far too soon on February 20, 2026, at the tender age of 17. Born on July 17, 2008, in St. Louis, Missouri, J'amaurie was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
J'amaurie was a remarkable young man, deeply cherished by his family and friends. He was the loving son of Raquel Young and Brian Parsley, and was raised with guidance and love by his devoted uncles and aunt. J'amaurie was a protective and nurturing older brother, always looking out for his younger siblings with steadfast care and affection.
A student at Vashon High School in St. Louis, J'amaurie excelled academically, consistently earning A's and B's. He was not only a dedicated student but also a role model to his peers. His teachers and classmates admired him for his warm heart, his ability to uplift those around him, and his unwavering kindness.
J'amaurie's passions were as vibrant as his spirit. He had a profound love for basketball and dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—riding the train, visiting the mall, and spending cherished moments with his family and friends. An avid reader and lover of fun, J'amaurie possessed a gift for making everyone feel happy and comfortable in his presence.
Tragically, J'amaurie's life was cut short due to a senseless act of violence, a heartbreaking reminder of the fragility of life. While his time with us was brief, the impact of his love and warmth will linger in our hearts forever.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by J'amaurie are invited to celebrate his life on February 22, 2026. Services will be held at 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Church, located at 1425 North Florence R.D. There, we will honor his memory, cherishing the moments and love he shared with us.
In this time of profound sorrow, the Young family extends their deepest gratitude to the Bethlehem Church families for their compassionate care and support. You are in our hearts forever, and your kindness has been a source of comfort in our time of need.
Though J'amaurie was called home too soon, his legacy of joy, love, and laughter will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear J'amaurie. You will be missed beyond measure, and your spirit will forever light our way.
