In loving memory of Jalin Wheeler, whose bright smile and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Jalin was born on June 6, 2008, in Carrollton, Texas, and departed from this world far too soon on February 17, 2026, at the tender age of 17, after a courageous battle with hepatocellular carcinoma. Jalin was the cherished son of Tonawa Kalu, Brian Jarmons, and Jerod Wheeler Sr. He was a beloved student at Mckinney North High School and formerly attended Howe Middle School, where he cultivated friendships that would last a lifetime. A young man of remarkable talents, Jalin had a passion for music and dancing, often losing himself in the rhythm of a beat or the sway of a melody. His skill with the drums was not only a testament to his dedication but also a source of joy for those who had the privilege to witness his performances. Jalin’s love for music was a reflection of his exuberant soul, one that continues to resonate in the hearts of everyone he touched. Those who were fortunate to know Jalin experienced his kind and loving nature firsthand. He embodied a spirit of generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His respectfulness and selflessness were evident in his everyday actions, and his forgiving heart was a beacon of hope and understanding. Jalin’s character shone brightly, even in the face of adversity, and his legacy will be remembered as one of dignity and grace. A service celebrating Jalin’s life will be held at Howe Middle School, located at 300 Beatrice St, Howe, TX 75459. As we gather to honor his memory, we take comfort in knowing that he is now the finest singing drummer in God’s heavenly choir, watched over by his three grandmothers who have embraced him with open arms. Jalin leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted parents, siblings, and countless friends. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the special message shared by his family: "Jalin lives on in our hearts. The whole entire world lost a very brilliant soul. In life, no one is perfect but, Jalin came close. We may have lost him here, but God has the best singing drummer in his choir. 'Til we meet again, all three of his grandmothers are there to take care of him. You're forever loved and missed. Love Always, Mommy." In this time of sorrow, we celebrate the beautiful life Jalin led and the love he shared so freely. His memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us of the profound impact one kind soul can have on the world. Rest in peace, dear Jalin. You are forever loved and missed.
