In Loving Memory

Jaleel TyQuan Sinclair
May 14, 2006 — July 4, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jaleel TyQuan Sinclair, who departed this world on July 4, 2026, at the age of 20. Born on May 14, 2006, in Lumberton, NC, Jaleel was a beacon of light and love to all who knew him. His untimely departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his vibrant spirit and enduring legacy will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Jaleel was the beloved son of Jasmin Edward Bember (Morris) of Fayetteville and Charles "Mann" Sinclair (Dinisha) of Lumberton. He was a devoted brother to ten sisters: Khloe Young, Joyce'lyn Sinclair, Raven Sinclair, Jamacia Copeland, Kaleena Sinclere, Malani Sinclair, Kalia Sinclair, Trinity Sinclair, Ashiya Fletcher, and Amilla Sinclair, as well as seven brothers: JaMari Watson, Zion Baker, Zaire Baker, Mason Bember, MJ Bember, Kamryn Sinclair, and JaQuan Taylor. His grandparents, Mr. Milton (Mamie) Stephens, Mr. Troy Courtney (Doreen), and Mr. Clarence McNeil, along with his great-grandparents, Mrs. Helen Sinclair and Mrs. Margie Taylor, will hold his memory close. Jaleel was also cherished by six aunts, Danielle Townsend, Ashley Courtney, Mrs. Christy (Pocco) Worley, Dianna Sinclair, Candice Wilson, and Jasmine McNeill, and two uncles, Raheem (Michelle) Stephens and Sonny Sinclair. His special friends, Asia Leach and Latana Graham, and his godmother, Sheba Moore, were also dear to his heart.
Jaleel was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Diana Sinclair, and maternal grandfathers, Mr. Miton (Corey) Stephens and Mr. John Taylor. Though they are no longer with us, we take solace in knowing that they are reunited in peace.
A student at Fairmont High School in Robeson County, Jaleel's exceptional talents in basketball and football were a testament to his dedication and passion for sports. His athletic prowess was matched only by his commitment to community service. Through his work with Breaking Barriers and Behavioral Services, Jaleel's empathetic spirit and kindness shone brightly, earning him admiration and respect from his peers and the children he worked with. His vibrant smile and warmth captured the hearts of all who met him, spreading joy and love wherever he went.
A celebration of Jaleel's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Cromartie Temple Of Praise, located at 107 Lessane St., Lumberton, NC, 28358. All who knew and loved Jaleel are invited to join us in honoring his memory.
