Born on December 11, 1969, in the serene village of Wakenaam, Guyana, Jai left this world on June 1, 2026, at the age of 56, following a stroke and head injury. His departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him. Jai was the beloved son of the late Katie and Guy, who instilled in him the values of hard work and integrity. He was a devoted husband to Pamela Oodo, with whom he shared a remarkable 35 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership, a love that was evident in all aspects of their life together. A dedicated father, Jai was predeceased by his son Davo, and is survived by his cherished children, Debbie, Girl, and Richie. He was the proud grandfather to one grandchild, and his legacy continues through his two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his stories and spirit. Jai's professional life was marked by his passion and skill as a mechanic. He spent his entire career in the field he loved, eventually opening his own shop where he became known not only for his technical expertise but also for his unwavering honesty and dedication to his craft. His clients were more than just customers; they were friends who trusted him implicitly. Those who knew Jai will remember him as an amazing individual with a unique blend of humor and discipline. He had a remarkable ability to light up a room with his jokes, bringing laughter to all who were fortunate enough to be in his presence. Yet, he was also known as the most strict person, a man who held firm to his principles and expected the best from those around him. This balance of levity and sternness was a hallmark of his personality, endearing him to many. Though the family has chosen to hold a private ceremony to honor Jai's life, his spirit will forever be celebrated in the hearts of those he touched.
