In Loving Memory

Jaime L Shafer
August 12, 1981 — October 2, 2025
It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Jaime L. Shafer, who departed this life on October 2, 2025, after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. Born on August 12, 1981, at Camp Lejeune, Jaime graced the world with her presence for 44 beautiful years.
Jaime's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and selflessness. Raised by her devoted parents, Terri and Becky Shafer, she carried forward their legacy of compassion and warmth, impacting everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She was a proud graduate of Riley High School, Class of 1999, where she began to cultivate her lifelong passion for learning, often found with a beloved book in hand or solving the intricate puzzles of crosswords.
Jaime shared a life filled with love and laughter with her cherished partner, Joshua Heaman. Together, they built a home that thrived on love and unity for 25 remarkable years. Jaime was the proud and loving mother of three wonderful children: Kalyb, Izea, and Haely Heaman. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support also extended to her precious grandchildren, Alana Figuerado, Malakai, and Jeremiah Heaman, for whom she was a beacon of joy and wisdom.
Her sisters, Kandi (Bob) Delee and Lindsey (Lindsey) Shafer, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws, will forever remember Jaime's infectious laughter and the warmth she brought into their lives. Jaime's life was enriched by her love for the sun and sea, often found basking in the warmth of the beach, a place she cherished deeply. Her love for family gatherings was evident in the many BBQs she hosted, where her warmth and kindness were shared generously with friends and loved ones.
Jaime's life goal was to create a family filled with love, a goal she not only achieved but exceeded, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and loyalty. Her beautiful spirit and gentle nature touched all who crossed her path, and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she loved.
A service to celebrate Jaime's life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM at 3195 Waterford Rd., Montrose, PA. In honoring Jaime's memory, we invite those who knew her to join us in commemorating her remarkable life and the love she so freely gave.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to cancer research, in hopes of supporting others who continue to fight courageously as Jaime did. Her light may have dimmed on Earth, but it shines eternally in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in peace, dear Jaime, for you have given us a lifetime of love and memories to cherish forever.
