Jacquline Willard Chandler

November 4, 1952 — October 10, 2026

Jacquline "Jackie" Willard Chandler, born on November 4, 1952, in Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026. She was a beacon of love and generosity whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. Jackie was the cherished daughter of Edith Price Willard and the late Alexander Willard Sr. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Lynwood Chandler, with whom she shared a beautiful life in Danville, Virginia. A proud graduate of George Washington High School, Jackie furthered her education by earning a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. Her dedication to hard work shone through in her career, where she served the community as a Cafeteria Aide with the Danville Public School System and held positions at KDH Armor Manufacturing Co., Roman Eagle Nursing Home, Pineyforest Nursing Home, Riverside Nursing Home, Health Tex, McDonald's, and Dan River Mills. Jackie was an ardent card player, often spending nights in the joyous company of family and friends. She was also a vibrant presence in her birthday club, bringing life to every gathering. Her passion for bingo and supporting her husband's bowling endeavors were only rivaled by her greatest love—spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her heart was truly full when surrounded by her family, which included her daughters Archelle Johnson (Dontae) of Richmond, Virginia, Sharmika Robinson (Mario) and Tarl Jones (Devin) of Danville, Virginia. She was a proud grandmother to Arshanique Jones, Arnisha and Jasmine Johnson, Diamond Jackson, and very special granddaughter Taryuna Wimbush, and "THE ONE AND ONLY SPECIAL” grandson, Tya’Shan Jones. Jackie is survived by her devoted brothers, Alexander Willard Jr. (Carolyn) of South Orange, New Jersey, Preston Willard (Mozelle), Eddie Willard, and L’Marrio Steven’s of Danville, Virginia, and her beloved sister, Linda Willard. Her extended family includes her cherished sisters-in-law, Mildred Booth, Louvenia Porter, Ollie Chandler of Wenworth, North Carolina, and Ester Stephens and Virginia Chandler of Reidsville, North Carolina. Jackie’s heart was as generous as they come, always willing to share what she had with those around her. She possessed an innate sweetness, a candid nature, and a spirit of giving that was unmatched. Her best friends, Patricia Long and Elnora Terry, were among the many who experienced her boundless kindness and loyalty.
