Jacqueline Lee Shepard
February 6, 1950 — June 19, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Jacqueline Lee Shepard on June 19, 2026. Born on February 6, 1950, in Spokane, Washington, Jacqueline, affectionately known as Jackie, was a beacon of love and creativity throughout her 76 years.
Jackie was the cherished daughter of Joseph Charpentier and Esther Charlotte Lamb, who instilled in her a deep appreciation for family and the joys of life. On December 4, 1969, Jackie was blessed to marry the love of her life, Gerard Shepard, in Seekonk, Massachusetts. Their union, filled with love and laughter, became the foundation on which she built her legacy of kindness and creativity. Gerard predeceased Jackie, and now they are reunited in eternal peace.
Jackie's life was a tapestry of artistic endeavors and family devotion. Her hands were seldom idle, always busy with drawing, crocheting, and sewing, crafting beautiful creations that she lovingly gifted to her family. Holidays sparkled a little brighter with the warmth of her homemade pies and cookies, a testament to her love and care.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her devoted daughter Sandy and husband David Bates of Marlborough, her beloved son Thomas and wife Nicole Shepard of Azores, and her treasured grandchildren Colby Shepard of Florida, Robert Bates of Marlborough, and Matthew and wife Megan Bates of Clinton. The legacy of Jackie's love extends to the next generation, with her great-grandchildren Benjamin Bates and Asher Bates, who will grow up knowing the love of their great-grandmother through stories and cherished family traditions.
Jackie's family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life at a service on June 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The service will be held at Saint Joseph's Church, located at 144 Danielson Pike, Scituate, RI. It is here that we will gather to honor a life well-lived, a woman whose gentle spirit and generous heart touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though Jackie has left this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy is one of love, creativity, and the unyielding strength of family bonds. As we say farewell, we hold close the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the warmth of her embrace. Rest peacefully, dear Jackie, knowing that you have left an indelible mark on the world and those you loved so dearly.
