Jacqueline Hanson January 21, 1945 – March 28, 2026 It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Jacqueline "Jackie" Hanson on March 28, 2026, at Gladwin Nursing and Rehab. Born on January 21, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Jackie lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and friends. Jackie was the cherished daughter of Lloyd and Evelyn Hanson, who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Josephine Doliva, step-grandfather Clemens Doliva, and sister-in-law Susan Hanson. Her legacy of kindness and generosity lives on in her surviving family: her devoted daughter Tammy Mitchell and son-in-law Richard Mitchell; her adoring grandchildren, Nicole Tice (Jon Tice) and Philip Mitchell (Josta Green); her treasured great-grandchildren, Aubree and Curtis; and her beloved step-great-grandson Keegan. Jackie is also survived by her loving brother Robert Hanson, sister Joann Barnes, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who were all touched by her warmth and spirit. Jackie's early years were spent in Detroit, where she graduated from St. Andrew's High School. Her career in the food industry was marked by a strong work ethic and a genuine care for her colleagues and customers alike. Outside of her professional life, Jackie was known for her vibrant social nature. She was a familiar face at bingo halls and card tables, often surrounded by friends and laughter. She had an unwavering loyalty to the Detroit Tigers, proudly cheering them on every season. Her compassion extended far beyond her circle of friends and family. Jackie was a lifelong supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital, demonstrating her commitment to helping others by donating every month. Her giving nature and caring disposition left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Jackie’s family meant the world to her, and she took immense pride in each of their accomplishments. She was a beacon of love and support, always ready with a listening ear or a comforting hug. Jackie Hanson will be remembered not only for the life she lived but for the love she shared. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all she touched.
