Jacob Kinsey

January 29, 1973 — July 20, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jacob Kinsey, a cherished son, brother, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on July 20, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on January 29, 1973, in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jacob's journey through life was marked by passion, creativity, and an unwavering love for his family and art. Jacob's early years in Grand Rapids were filled with exploration and adventure, traits that he carried into adulthood. He was the loving son of Kathy Gates and Allen Kinsey, who instilled in him the values of compassion and resilience. Jacob's life was forever enriched by his marriage to the love of his life, Jessica Williams, on June 7, 1998. Their union, spanning three decades, was a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Together, they navigated life's complexities, building a legacy through their shared passion for tattoo artistry. Their creative spirits opened many tattoo studios, where Jacob's ability to create beauty out of thin air was admired by many. Tragically, Jacob's life was altered by a motorcycle accident, which ultimately led to his untimely passing. Despite the challenges he faced, his spirit remained unbroken, and he fought courageously until the very end. His heart, full of love, courage, and determination, found peace on that quiet July day. Jacob was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jessica Kinsey, his eldest daughter, Tiffani Lynn, and his dear family members, Codi Mulberry and Raven Kinsey. He leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply: his devoted sisters, Ali Hammond and Samantha, and his closest brothers, Brandon Arnold and Matt Helman. Jacob was also blessed with numerous adopted siblings, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His legacy continues through his precious grandchildren, Damian, Ryen, Athyna, and Amara, who knew him as a source of wisdom and warmth. Though he did not live to see great-grandchildren, his spirit will undoubtedly guide future generations. A celebration of Jacob's life will be held on August 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Cocoa Beachside, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for a celebration at HD’s Merritt Island, Florida. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to those who have traveled far and wide to honor Jacob's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jacob's name, as a tribute to a man who enriched the lives of so many. As Jacob rests in peace, reunited with his beloved family members, we find solace in knowing that he watches over us with joy and pride. His legacy of love, creativity, and resilience will forever remain in our hearts.

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
