February 26, 1961 — September 3, 2026

Jackie Eley-Graham, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 26, 1961, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, Jackie was the cherished daughter of Willie and Ruth Fennell. Jackie's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a profound ability to connect with those around her. She was a proud alumna of both Howard University and Morgan State University, where she developed a passion for learning and a deep-seated commitment to helping others. Her career took her to New York, where she worked with IBM, and later brought her back to her community, where she contributed her talents to the local law firms of Aarent Fox and Shapiro, Stachitano, and Hatchfield. Jackie concluded her professional journey as a much-loved front desk concierge at the Prospect House Condominiums, retiring in 2024. Her colleagues and residents fondly remember her for her quick smile and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Jackie's life was rich with love and family. On June 21, 2022, she married her devoted husband, Mark Graham, who survives her. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and shared dreams. She is also survived by her children, Cortez Eley and Jac'Quan Eley, who were her pride and joy. Jackie found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Jaiden Robbins, Justin Eley, Jayla Eley, and Zakeyah Ross nurturing them with endless love and devotion. She is survived by her brotherly allies, Joel and Todd Fennel. Jackie follows her deceased siblings, Cornell Fennell, Claude Fennel, Yvone Waye, Carolyn Vinson, and Cathy Fennell. In her leisure, Jackie cherished moments spent shopping with family and friends, but above all, she treasured caring for her grandchildren, whose laughter and joy brought light into her life. Her gift for making people feel at ease and her knack for problem-solving endeared her to all who knew her. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional medical teams at Walter Reed Medical Center and Virginia Hospital Center for their unwavering support and compassionate care throughout Jackie's illness. A private funeral ceremony will be held in Jackie's honor, allowing those closest to her to celebrate her life in an intimate setting. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice in Jackie's memory. Jackie Eley-Graham's legacy is one of love, kindness, and an enduring spirit that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends.
