In Loving Memory

Jack Jacob Kachirski
January 11, 1943 — October 11, 2026
On October 11th, 2026, the world lost a remarkable soul, Jack Jacob Kachirski. Born on January 11th, 1943, to Jacob and Anna Kachirski, Jack lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends. His gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jack grew up with a profound love for the outdoors, particularly fishing. Many of his happiest days were spent casting a line with his beloved brother, Paul, or sharing stories by the water's edge with his best friend, Chuck. Fishing was more than a hobby for Jack; it was a cherished tradition that he passed down to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, ensuring that his legacy of love for nature would endure.
In his professional life, Jack dedicated himself to ABF Freight for nine years, where he was recognized as a steadfast and hardworking member of the Teamsters union for thirty years. Even in retirement, he remained a loyal union brother, attending retiree meetings and staying connected with his fellow Teamsters. His commitment to his work and colleagues was matched only by his dedication to his family.
Jack's family was the center of his universe. He was a loving father, a terrific grandfather, and the best great-grandfather anyone could hope for. His retirement years were devoted to creating lasting memories with his family, whether through shared fishing trips, family gatherings, or simply being present in their lives. Jack's warmth, humor, and kindness made him a pillar of strength and comfort to those he loved.
Though Jack bravely overcame a cancer diagnosis in 2019, his health eventually declined, and he spent his final years surrounded by the tender care of his family. Their unwavering love provided him with strength and solace until his peaceful passing at home.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held on November 2nd, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Hills Mortuary, located at 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their cherished memories, honoring a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
