It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Jack D. Teemer, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Jack peacefully departed this world on February 23, 2026, just days after celebrating his 98th birthday. He was surrounded by love and comfort at Pickersgill Retirement Community, a place he called home in his final years.
Jack was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1928, in the heart of Pennsylvania to Charles and Alma Teemer. From a young age, Jack embodied the virtues of kindness, dedication, and perseverance, values instilled in him by his loving parents. He carried these virtues throughout his century-long journey, touching the lives of many with his warmth and wisdom.
A devoted family man, Jack and jean had three children, Jack Teemer Jr, Barbra Miller and Eric Teemer, Jack's love for his children was boundless, and he found immense joy and pride in watching them grow and thrive. He was also a cherished grandfather, delighting in the laughter and happiness of his grandchildren, who were fortunate to learn from his gentle guidance and rich stories of the past.
Jack was not only a pillar within his family but also within the larger community. He was an active member of the Boumi Temple Shriners, where he dedicated many years to supporting philanthropic efforts and fostering camaraderie among his fellow Shriners. His commitment to service and community was unwavering, and he leaves behind a legacy of generosity and compassion.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Pickersgill Retirement Community for their exceptional care and kindness. Their support during Jack's final years brought comfort and peace to him and his family.
As we mourn the loss of Jack, we also celebrate the remarkable life he lived—a century filled with love, laughter, and service. Jack’s enduring spirit and the values he upheld will continue to inspire all who knew him. His memory will remain forever in our hearts, a testament to a man who lived life with grace and purpose.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jack’s honor to the Boumi Temple Shriners, ensuring his legacy of giving continues to make a difference.
A private family service will be held to honor Jack’s life, with a public memorial to be announced at a later date. May Jack rest in peace, forever embraced by the love he so generously shared.
