In Loving Memory

“Jack” Carter
July 5, 1999 — April 23, 2026
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Jack Carter. Born on July 5, 1999, in Scottsbluff, and taken from us far too soon on April 23, 2026, Jack was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him.
Jack was the cherished son of Patricia and John Carter, who raised him to be a kind, compassionate, and spirited young man. His siblings, Aly, Grace, and Tyler, along with his adored niece Calliope and nephews Tyrion and Moses, will forever remember him as the playful and loving brother and uncle who never missed an opportunity to make them smile.
Jack was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Leonora and Joe Marquez, whose memory he held dear, and his soulmate fiancée, Rose Laughlin, whose love story with Jack was tragically cut short. Their bond was a testament to true love and companionship.
A graduate of Scottsbluff High School, Jack was known for his quick wit and joking manner, always ready with a prank or a story to brighten someone's day. He was a huge foodie, always eager to explore new flavors and places, and his zest for life was infectious.
Jack found his calling working in a metaphysical shop, where he delighted in helping others explore their spirituality. His genuine interest in people and their journeys made him a cherished confidant and friend to many. Outside of work, Jack cherished the simple joys of life—fishing in the early mornings, working on and riding his beloved motorcycle, and playing with his nieces and nephews, who brought him endless joy.
Tragically, Jack's life was cut short in a car accident while riding his treasured motorcycle, an activity he loved and cherished. Though his time with us was brief, the impact he left on our hearts is immeasurable.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Scottsbluff Hospital for their compassionate care of Jack and his family during these difficult days. To honor Jack's life and respect his mother's privacy, a private funeral service will be held on April 25, 2026, at 11:45 in Scottsbluff.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to share your memories and stories of Jack, celebrating the laughter and love he brought into our lives. Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever ride the winds of our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Jack. You will be missed beyond measure and loved beyond words.
