She shared her life with her sister Nicole Monk and her brothers Danny and Larry Jr. Monk, all of whom fondly remember her infectious laughter and generous spirit. Jacalyn was predeceased by her dear friend, Nina Bryant, whose companionship she held dear. Jacalyn was a devoted mother to her three beloved children, Bridget, Brittany, and Blaisen. Her nurturing spirit extended further to her role as a grandmother, where she found immense joy in the company of her grandchildren: Dillon, Daniel Contreras, Bella Monk, and Vincent Fernandez. Her love for her family was boundless, and her legacy will continue to live on through them. Passionate about crafts, Jacalyn found solace and creativity in sewing, crocheting, and coloring, often transforming her home into a vibrant and welcoming space. Her home was a canvas, and she approached redoing it with the same dedication and love that she bestowed upon her family and friends. Jacalyn was known for her outgoing nature, a vivacious woman who could light up any room. Her gift for making others feel comfortable and at ease was unparalleled, and her laughter was a melody that touched the hearts of all who heard it. A private funeral service will be held on July 18, 2026, to honor Jacalyn's life and legacy.
