J. Roger Noel, a beloved soul whose life was a testament to love, adventure, and music, passed away on August 13, 2026, surrounded by family and friends at his bedside. Born on August 11, 1941, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Roger was the cherished son of Albian and Viola Noel.
Roger's journey was one filled with the warmth of family, the excitement of travel, and the joy of music. He was predeceased by many dear family members, including his parents, his brothers Al and Coral, his sister-in-law Betty, his sister Yolanda and brother-in-law Mike, as well as his nephew Kenny and niece Jackie. These losses, while deeply felt, never dimmed his zest for life and the love he shared with those around him.
For over 25 years, Roger shared his life with Nena Lilley, a love affair that was truly the best part of his life. From Connecticut to Florida to Maine, their journey together was one of unwavering companionship and shared adventures, rarely straying far from one another.
Roger was a man of many passions. His love for sports was evident in his enthusiasm for softball, hockey, and bike riding. But it was his travels in their motor home along the East Coast that filled his life with adventure and joy. Later in life, Roger found a second career in music, a passion that he embraced wholeheartedly and shared with Nena, making their life together truly epic.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, cherished by his 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
In honor of Roger's vibrant life, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, an organization that aligns with his values and love for life.
Roger Noel's life was a symphony of love, adventure, and music, and his memory will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him.
