Ivory Lachelle Sheppard, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, left this world on June 26, 2026, at the age of 41. Born on August 6, 1984, in Phoenix, Arizona, Ivory was a radiant presence with a spirit that brought light and laughter wherever she went. Ivory was the cherished daughter of Bridget Phillips (Aaron Pickid) and Raymond Sheppard. She was a devoted mother to her seven children: Jazmine Brown, Denisha Davis, Briasia Davis, Tyion Davis, Ayden Charles, and Elliot Sheppard, who will forever hold her love in their hearts. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Heavenly, Kadyn, Zarah, and Makoa, who brought immense joy to her life. Raised with strong family values, Ivory was also the treasured sister of Ebony Sheppard, Brianna Phillips, and Brinesha McCray. Her grandmothers, Jereline Bellamy and Charlene Watkins, played pivotal roles in her life, showering her with wisdom and love. Ivory's extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends meant the world to her, and she cherished the bonds they shared. Ivory's education journey began at Dunbar and Bethune Elementary Schools, followed by Mckemy Middle School, and she graduated from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona. She had a passion for running and was an exceptional athlete, proudly representing her schools on the track teams. Her athleticism was matched by her keen sense of humor and love for playing practical jokes, which ensured that laughter was never far away when she was present. A faithful member of Higher Heights Church of God in Christ, Ivory was actively involved in the youth and young adult groups, nurturing her spiritual growth and community connections. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she lived with compassion and kindness. Ivory was a natural leader, known for her ability to light up any room she entered. Her unique personality and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was a proud lefty, known for her determination and ability to achieve her goals with grace and humor. A celebration of Ivory's remarkable life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, located at 3800 S. Central Ave. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, kindness, and support during this time of bereavement.
