In Loving Memory of Ivery Davis Sr. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ivery Davis Sr, who left us on June 10, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on February 23, 1957, in Albany, Georgia, Ivery was a beacon of strength, resilience, and kindness. After a courageous battle with heart disease and kidney failure, he passed away in the comforting embrace of hospice care, surrounded by his loved ones. Ivery was the cherished son of Ossie Lee Davis and Robert Lee Davis Sr., both of whom predeceased him. He was a devoted brother, friend, father, and grandfather, whose legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of many. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Quantawana English and Lakesha Davis, and his sons, Tyrone Walker, Carl Walker, Ivery Davis Jr, and Jayden Hubbard. Ivery was the proud grandfather to five granddaughters, Diamond Moore, Jordan Moore, Ronnita Moore, Lexus Moore, and Antonya Moorison, and two grandsons, Steven Trowell Jr and Jerohn English Jr. His family tree continues to grow with one great-grandchild, a testament to the legacy he leaves behind. Ivery shared his life with his devoted friend Paula Hubbard. He was married to Denise Davis on June 5, 2005, a union marked by love and companionship. Prior to this, he was married to Brenda Joyce Lewis for seven years, with whom he welcomed three beautiful children. An educated man, Ivery earned his GED from the Maryland Adult Educational System, a testament to his dedication and perseverance. His career spanned over two decades at the National Institutes of Health, where he excelled as a Research Assistant. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated professional who contributed significantly to his field. Beyond his professional life, Ivery found joy in the simple pleasures of the world. He was known for his love of cooking, often bringing family and friends together with his culinary creations. Fishing brought him peace, and he found solace in the quiet moments by the lake, where he would sit and reflect on the beauty of the world around him. Ivery was a man of steadfast principles, known for being both stern and compassionate. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His enduring spirit and unwavering support touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. The profound impact Ivery had on his family and community will be felt for generations to come. As we say goodbye, we find solace in the memories shared, the lessons learned, and the love that remains. Ivery's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the strength of the human spirit. A celebration of Ivery's life will be held to honor the incredible man he was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a heart or kidney disease research foundation, continuing his legacy of helping others. Though he is no longer with us, Ivery Davis Sr's spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
