Iverne Enid Kuryla

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Iverne Enid Kuryla, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this world on September 3, 2026. Born in the serene town of International Falls on September 15, 1944, Iverne lived a life full of love, kindness, and cherished family moments. Iverne was the cherished daughter of Vivian Kuehne and Anshelm Borg, whose values and spirit she embodied throughout her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Mick Kuryla, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage beginning on November 28, 1964. Together, they created a family filled with love and warmth, which was the cornerstone of Iverne's world. A proud graduate of Falls High School, Class of 1962, Iverne demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating her own clothing store, aptly named Iverne's. Her store was more than just a business; it was a reflection of her passion for fashion and her commitment to serving her community with a welcoming smile. Iverne was known far and wide for her big heart and kind nature. She had an innate ability to bring joy to those around her, whether through her deliciously baked goods or the time she spent lovingly with her family. Her laughter and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughters, Missy Walls and Heather Kuryla, who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Iverne was the proud grandmother to Jordan (Kelsey) Walls and Brady (Emma) Walls and a doting great-grandmother to Buckley and Wrenley Walls, who were her pride and joy. To honor Iverne's remarkable life, a memorial service will be held on September 19, 2026, from 2:00- 4:00 PM at her cherished home, located at 1905 10th Ave East. It will be a time to celebrate the wonderful life she led and the countless memories she created. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ridgeview Assisted Living for their compassionate care and for making Iverne feel like family during her stay. Iverne's legacy is one of love, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
