In Loving Memory

Isabelle Hill
March 18, 1936 — February 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts yet fond memories that we share the peaceful passing of Isabelle Hill on February 18, 2026, just one month shy of her 90th birthday. Isabelle took her final breath at her home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family, in the same quiet manner she embraced life.
Born on March 18, 1936, in the quaint community of Etobicoke, Isabelle was the beloved daughter of John and Mary Mason. She grew up imbued with the values of kindness and compassion, qualities she carried with her throughout her life, influencing everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Isabelle is survived by her devoted children: Dianne, Gary, Rick, Cheryl, and Brenda. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family to her cherished grandchildren—Laura, Paul, Courtney, Nicole, Shane, Jason, Jesse, and Joel—and her four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her family was her world, and she was the heart of theirs.
In 1960, Isabelle married the love of her life, Walter Hill, with whom she shared 66 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the kind of partnership that serves as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Professionally, Isabelle dedicated 22 years as a secretary at Cadbury. Her colleagues remember her calm demeanor and efficient yet gentle approach to her work, always willing to lend a hand and brighten the office with her ever-present smile.
In her personal time, Isabelle had a passion for knitting, often crafting beautiful creations for her family and friends, each stitch woven with love. She found solace in the pages of books, constantly seeking new stories and knowledge. A strategic thinker, she also enjoyed the game of chess, often challenging her grandchildren to thoughtful matches that were as much about bonding as they were about winning.
Isabelle's legacy is one of kindness, patience, and a profound willingness to help those around her. Her loving nature was reflected in her every action, and the impact she made will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
A private ceremony will be held on Saturday February 28th from 10am-1pm to honour her remarkable life, as per her wishes. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived, cherishing the countless memories she leaves behind.
Isabelle Hill will be deeply missed but never forgotten, her spirit living on in the love she cultivated in her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
