Isabel Rodriguez

October 5, 1957 — May 18, 2026

It is with profound sadness and yet a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Isabel Rodriguez, who departed this world peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 68, after bravely contending with the lingering effects of a stroke and other health challenges. Born on October 5, 1957, in the warm, welcoming embrace of Torreón, New Mexico, Isabel was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her. Isabel was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel and Dilia Silva, who, along with her brother James, sister Eva, and two baby sisters, have predeceased her, undoubtedly welcoming her into their heavenly home. Her legacy continues through her cherished daughters, Eva Dallas and Dilia, who were the light of her life, along with her son-in-law Isaiah, daughter-in-law Raquel, and her adored grandchildren, JJ and Lenora. Isabel’s loving spirit also survives in her dear sisters, Linda and Sandra, her niece Leandra, and her nephews, Manuel and Dustin. A proud graduate of Estancia High School, class of 1975, Isabel pursued a career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico, where she worked diligently, advancing from data entry to management before retiring in 2017. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated professional with a quick wit that could brighten any room, a testament to her sharp mind and generous heart. Isabel found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was crocheting beautiful creations, enjoying a good movie, or cooking up delightful meals for her family and friends, her warmth and affection were felt by all. An animal lover at heart, Isabel’s caring and loving nature extended beyond her human family to the four-legged friends who found a home in her heart. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals, family, and friends who provided unwavering care and support during Isabel’s time in the hospital. Your kindness will forever be remembered. A service celebrating Isabel’s life will be held at a date yet to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a fund in her memory, which can be accessed at https://gofund.me/809dd33b3. This fund will honor Isabel’s legacy by supporting causes that were dear to her heart. As we say goodbye, we remember Isabel Rodriguez as a woman of immense strength and love. Her laughter, kindness, and indomitable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
